Job Purpose
As a Domiciliary Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with their daily living needs, promoting independence, and ensuring their comfort and safety. You will provide person-centred care in accordance with each individual’s care plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility, medication prompts, and meal preparation.
- Assist with light household tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided.
- Follow care plans and company policies to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the Jothno Care Services team.
- Report any changes in clients’ health or wellbeing to the Registered Manager promptly.
Requirements
- Genuine passion for helping and supporting others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
- Previous experience in domiciliary or home care is desirable, but full training will be provided.
