We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility!
The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes early childhood development while maintaining high standards of childcare.
The Nursery Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, engaging with children and parents, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high-quality childcare services.
- Oversee daily nursery operations,, managing schedules, and maintaining organisational efficiency.
- In charge of funding hours and making sure the hours are input correctly on the portal.
- Foster a safe, welcoming environment that encourages children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate programmes aligned with early childhood education principles.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and legal requirements.
- Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, staff rotas, and budgeting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided by the nursery.
- Responsible for sending hours to payroll
- Monthly Audits
- Point of contact for cleaning and handyman works and maintenance works
Qualifications
- Proven experience in nursery management
- Minimum Level 3 in Childcare
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Experience working directly with children and understanding of child development principles.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and safeguarding procedures.
- Ability to organise tasks efficiently whilst maintaining a nurturing approach towards children and staff. This role offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional childcare services within a supportive environment committed to early childhood development.
Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
