Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Gate Installation and Service Engineer to join our team in. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated gates and associated systems, ensuring optimal operation and security for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and experience with various electronic and mechanical systems. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work on diverse projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sites, with a focus on system reliability and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Install automated gate systems, including mechanical components, electrical wiring, CCTV cameras, and access control devices.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system functionality and safety.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to electrical, mechanical, or networking components using schematics and system design documentation.
- Repair or replace faulty parts such as motors, sensors, power supplies, or control panels.
- Configure network connectivity for integrated systems such as CCTV, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication links.
- Test system performance post-installation or repair to confirm operational standards are met.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation and safety procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and system configurations for future reference.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to gate mechanisms and hardware components.
- Experience with computer hardware integration within security systems.
- Electrical experience including wiring, circuit diagrams, and power management.
- Familiarity with CCTV installation and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely
- Skills in telecommunication setup and troubleshooting for remote access or monitoring systems.
- Experience with system design tailored to client requirements across various environments such as residential or commercial sites.
This role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently or as part of a team in diverse environments. A valid driving licence is preferred due to travel requirements between sites. Candidates should demonstrate excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards at all times.
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
