Hours: 30 hours per week (rota basis, including weekdays, evenings and weekends)
Pay: £13.50–£14.00 per hour, depending on experience

We're looking for an ambitious and experienced Assistant Manager to join our brand-new independent coffee and wine bar in the heart of Sprotbrough.
This is a unique opportunity to join before launch and play a key role in bringing an exciting new hospitality concept to life. From exceptional speciality coffee during the day to carefully selected wines and cocktails in the evening, we're creating a venue built around quality, community and outstanding customer experiences.
Working closely with the business owners, you'll help establish the culture, lead the team and ensure every guest receives exceptional service. This isn't just another management role—it's your opportunity to make a genuine impact from day one.
The Role
As Assistant Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the venue while leading by example on the floor.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the overall day-to-day management of the venue.
- Leading, motivating and developing the front-of-house team.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and staff training.
- Managing daily opening and closing procedures.
- Preparing staff rotas and supporting labour planning.
- Monitoring stock levels, placing orders and reducing waste.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and organisation throughout the venue.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, licensing and health & safety regulations.
- Supporting the coffee bar and cocktail bar during busy service periods.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Supervisor or hospitality management role.
- Has experience within cafés, coffee shops, bars, restaurants or premium hospitality venues.
- Is confident leading and motivating a team.
- Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Is passionate about hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Leads by example with a hands-on approach.
- Is confident making decisions and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Has experience with stock control, cash handling and daily operations.
- Is flexible and available to work weekdays, evenings and weekends.
