Part-Time Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter

We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Part-Time Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join the kitchen team at Coombe Hill Golf Club on a temporary contract until late September or early October.
This is an important support role within our busy kitchen, helping the team maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment.
- Wash and sanitise pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils.
- Assist with cleaning kitchen surfaces, equipment and floors.
- Empty waste and recycling bins safely and regularly.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors during and after service.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of the chefs.
- Follow all food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures.
- Support the kitchen and front-of-house teams during busy periods.
- Carry out other reasonable kitchen duties as required.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality or catering environment is helpful but not essential.
- A reliable and punctual approach to work.
- The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- The physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment and deliveries safely.
Working Hours
This is a part-time temporary position working approximately 16 hours per week.
Hours will be arranged according to the needs of the business and may include weekdays and weekends. Shifts will primarily be during the daytime, although occasional evening work may be available.
The temporary contract is expected to run until late September or early October.
