As a Driver within Righton Blackburns, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of our products to our customers and will play an important role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional customer service. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Monday to Friday 6am - 3pm.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver products to customers on assigned routes.
- Load and unload products efficiently and safely using forklifts and other equipment needed.
- Ensure load is safe and secure at all times whilst managing appropriate orders for drops.
- Keep all delivery records up to date.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and traffic laws.
- Act as a representative of RB at all times ensuring we meet customer requirements.
- Continually maintain a safe working environment in all aspects of the role.
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience as a HGV driver with a valid Class 2 driver's license and a clean driving record. You will be able to plan and navigate various routes in a timely and cost-efficient manner, whilst maintaining compliance with road laws.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the capacity to manage unexpected situations positively and adapt accordingly. You will have the ability to be flexible and undertake additional duties where required.
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and other Service Centre colleagues. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team so that we meet all delivery promises.
- Awareness and ability to follow health and safety procedures.
- You will have a high level of professionalism and take pride in all aspects of the work you do.
- You will be able to distinguish different types of material and have strong attention to detail and accuracy.
