Aspire Formwork is seeking an experienced, client-facing Senior Technical Consultant to join our technology practice in London. In this strategic role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, translating complex business and operational requirements into robust technical architectures, cloud transformation roadmaps, and modern enterprise solutions.
Working closely with executive leadership, project leaders, and engineering teams, you will lead technical discovery sessions, evaluate existing systems, and oversee end-to-end delivery. This position balances high-level technology strategy with hands-on solution design, providing opportunities to drive digital and operational transformation across key UK projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Strategy & Advisory: Partner with key stakeholders to audit current technology systems, identify technical bottlenecks, and define digital transformation strategies.
- Architecture & Solution Design: Architect secure, scalable enterprise solutions across public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), hybrid infrastructure, and system integration frameworks.
- Requirements Discovery & Scoping: Conduct technical discovery sessions, capture functional and non-functional requirements, and craft technical proposals, statements of work (SOWs), and solution blueprints.
- Delivery Governance & Quality Assurance: Provide technical oversight during project implementation, ensuring deliverables align with architectural designs, security standards, and business budgets.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Pre-Sales Support: Support project development teams during pre-sales engagements, lead technical demonstrations, and respond to RFPs/RFIs.
- Thought Leadership & Mentorship: Stay ahead of emerging technologies, author technical best-practice documentation, and mentor junior consultants and engineers in solution delivery.
Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- 5+ years of commercial experience as a Technical Consultant, Solutions Architect, or Technical Lead within a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Proven track record delivering enterprise solution architecture and cloud transformation projects (AWS or Azure).
- Strong expertise in enterprise architecture concepts, integration patterns, system security, and infrastructure design.
- Demonstrated ability to engage C-level and senior stakeholders, articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
- Hands-on technical background in software engineering, systems architecture, or cloud infrastructure.
- Exceptional documentation skills, with experience drafting SOWs, architecture diagrams, and technical proposals.
Desirable
- Relevant Professional Certifications: TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or PRINCE2 / Agile credentials.
- Experience with enterprise software suites, ERPs, or custom software implementation project lifecycles.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Business Systems.
- Background in technical pre-sales or management consulting.
