Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter/Decorator to bring vibrant life and professional finishes to a variety of construction and renovation projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints, varnishes, and decorative finishes, and ensuring high-quality craftsmanship that enhances the aesthetic appeal and durability of interior and exterior spaces. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings
- Apply paints, varnishes, stains, wallpapers, and decorative finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines to complete tasks efficiently and safely
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors to coordinate work schedules and clarify project requirements
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of waste responsibly, and protecting surrounding areas from paint splatters or damage
- Drive company vehicles to various job sites as needed, ensuring timely arrival and adherence to traffic laws
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance, making touch-ups or corrections as necessary to meet high standards
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a keen eye for detail
- Strong communication skills in English to understand instructions clearly and collaborate effectively with team members and clients
- Valid driving license with the ability to operate company vehicles safely on different sites
- Knowledge of safety procedures relevant to painting and decorating work environments
- Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and technical instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina for standing, climbing ladders, lifting materials, and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects
- A CSCS card or a willingness to attain one.
