About the Role
British & International Tyre Supplies (BITS) are looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Multi-Drop Delivery Driver to join our team at our Cottenham, Cambridge depot.
This is a varied role combining warehouse duties with the delivery of tyres and associated products to our customer base. The successful candidate will be organised, physically fit, safety-conscious and able to work well as part of a team.
A clean driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking and loading tyres and associated products accurately in accordance with picking notes.
- Loading the delivery vehicle safely and securely.
- Unloading deliveries in a safe and responsible manner.
- Delivering tyres and associated products to our customer base.
- Completing multi-drop deliveries in a professional and timely manner.
- Providing a friendly and professional service to customers.
- Ensuring all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and legibly.
- Checking goods and paperwork to ensure deliveries are correct.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe warehouse and working environment.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
- Carrying out any other activities and tasks as reasonably determined by your Line Manager.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Be physically capable of handling and moving tyres and other products.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Be comfortable working in a busy warehouse and delivery environment.
- Have good communication and customer service skills.
- Have a clean driving licence – preferred but not essential.
- Be flexible and willing to work 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
Previous warehouse, delivery or tyre industry experience would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
