1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools - East London
We are seeking a confident and resilient 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child on a 1:1 basis at a welcoming primary school.
This role requires someone calm under pressure, consistent, and able to build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries. The pupil can be challenging at times, so strong behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies are essential.
Role Details
- Position: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
- Year Group: KS1 or KS2
- Start Date: September 2026
- Pay: £110 – £115 per day
- Type: Full-time, long-term
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day
- Support emotional regulation, engagement, and behaviour
- Implement behaviour strategies in line with the school’s policies
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Act as a positive role model and provide structure and routine
Essential Requirements
- Previous SEN experience (Autism or ADHD experience preferred)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Calm, patient, and resilient approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through us)
- Able to commit full-time from September
