We are seeking a dedicated Workshop Controller / Parts Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing workshop operations efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and optimal utilisation of resources
- Coordinate with technicians to schedule repairs and maintenance work effectively
- Manage parts inventory, ensuring availability of necessary components and ordering stock as required
- Provide expert advice to customers regarding parts and services, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts, and service history using Microsoft Excel or other relevant software
- Communicate clearly with clients via phone and face-to-face, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Assist with maintenance tasks around the workshop to uphold safety standards and operational efficiency
- Organise workflow schedules to optimise productivity and minimise downtime
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on professional phone etiquette
- Organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance or workshop operations is advantageous
- Ability to prioritise tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, and maintain organisation under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with customers, suppliers, and team members
