Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual to take on the role of Coffee Shop Entrepreneur. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to lead and develop a thriving coffee shop business, combining entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on experience in a vibrant environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in coffee culture and a desire to build their own successful enterprise within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily shop operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth team coordination
- Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their needs
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and light food items in accordance with company standards
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including taking payments and giving change
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clientele
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximise profitability
- Ensure the shop environment remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times
Requirements
- Proven barista experience or background in serving food and beverages
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Experience in food preparation and customer service roles preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for coffee culture, entrepreneurship, and delivering outstanding customer experiences
