We are recruiting for a dance teacher that can deliver classes on Saturday mornings or afternoons for our children and young people aged between 3-16.
You must be able to teach Ballet and/or Acro.
We are looking for individuals who are engaging, supportive, confident and fun who are able to use their knowledge, skills and expertise of dance to motivate, inspire and teach our students in our weekly Saturday sessions. Further weekday hours may become available for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate must have the skills and experience in the following areas:
Essential (E) and Desirable (D)
- Experience teaching children ballet and/or street dance (E)
- Qualified to teach in the relevant styles indicated / part of a dance teaching board or relevant teaching/coaching qualification e.g. Acrobatic Arts (E)
- The ideal candidate will have professional performing arts training or professional performing experience (E)
- Be able to plan a range of engaging and high-quality dance sessions (E)
- Be able to choreograph routines and prepare participants for performances (E)
- Ability to inspire and motivate children and young people to live and lead active lifestyles (E)
- Excellent time keeping skills (E)
- Be able to commit to training sessions on a Saturday mornings/afternoons (E)
- Be able to attend shows/events (E)
- To have appropriate communication with staff/pupils and parents/carers (E)
- Enhanced DBS check - if not, we can arrange this - you must be willing to undergoes this in order to be eligible for consideration for employment (D)
- Emergency first aid certificate (D)
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (D)
- A training kit/uniform will be provided for the successful candidate.
Rate dependant on experience (£15.00-£25.00 per hour).
