We’re looking for a Junior German UX Content Designer to help us create clear, useful and patient-friendly digital experiences for our German-speaking customers.
This role sits at the intersection of content, UX and healthcare. You’ll help turn complex medical and healthcare information into communication that patients can easily understand, while also looking at the wider user journey and identifying opportunities to make our digital experience clearer, simpler and more intuitive.
You’ll work closely with content, design, medical, development, marketing and other teams, so this is a great role for someone who enjoys collaborating, asking questions and finding practical ways to improve the customer experience.
The role
You’ll help shape the content and user experience across our German-language websites and digital journeys.
You should be able to look at a patient journey from the user's perspective and ask: Is this clear? Does the user know what to do next? Is the information easy to understand? Are we making this more complicated than it needs to be?
You’ll combine strong German writing skills with an understanding of UX principles, healthcare communication and user behaviour. You’ll use data, research and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and work with relevant teams to turn those insights into better experiences.
Key responsibilities
- UX Content & Copywriting: Create clear, concise and patient-friendly German content across websites, forms, questionnaires, emails and other digital touchpoints. Turn complex healthcare and medical information into language that is easy for patients to understand, while maintaining accuracy and appropriate terminology.
- UX Design & Prototyping: Design the experiences you write for, producing user flows, wireframes, prototypes and interface layouts for new and existing patient journeys. Make practical decisions about structure, hierarchy, navigation, forms, questionnaires and interaction patterns, and iterate based on user feedback and testing. Work within existing design systems and brand guidelines, and contribute to improving them.
- User Journey Optimisation: Review end-to-end patient journeys to identify friction, confusion and unnecessary complexity, and work with relevant teams to make the experience simpler, clearer and more intuitive.
- Research, Data & Testing: Use user feedback, research, analytics and testing to understand how users interact with our digital experiences, identify pain points and support decisions about what to improve.
- German Experience & Localisation: Ensure German-language content and user journeys feel natural, culturally appropriate and genuinely designed for German-speaking patients, rather than simply translated from English.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with content, design, medical, development, marketing and other teams to develop, review and improve digital experiences.
- Tools & Workflow: Use relevant UX, analytics, research, content and design tools to create, analyse and improve digital experiences efficiently.
