MBP Ltd is seeking a motivated and organised Junior Document Controller to provide administrative support to the estimating and technical teams. This is an entry-level position focused on maintaining accurate project records, organising documentation, and assisting with document submissions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for screening incoming estimating enquiries, coordinating door elevation drawing requests, checking documentation for accuracy and completeness, and uploading approved technical information, drawings and fire test evidence to main contractor and client portals in support of Gateway 2 Building Safety Act submissions.

Key Responsibilities
Estimating Enquiry Management
· Review and screen incoming estimating enquiries received via email, tender portals, and contractor platforms.
· Assess enquiries for completeness and distribute them to the relevant estimating personnel.
· Maintain enquiry registers and ensure all associated documentation is correctly filed and tracked.
· Liaise with customers and branches to obtain missing information where required.
Door Elevation Drawing Coordination
· Receive and process requests for door elevation drawings.
· Coordinate drawing requirements with internal estimating, design and technical teams.
· Track drawing requests through completion.
· Ensure that drawing revisions are properly controlled and recorded.
· Maintain an organised drawing register and archive system.
Document Accuracy & Quality Assurance
· Check documents for obvious errors, missing information and correct formatting before issue.
· Ensure documents are correctly named, filed, and version controlled.
· Ensure that all documents are correctly named, version controlled and stored in accordance with company procedures.
· Escalate any issues or discrepancies to senior team members.
Building Safety Act & Gateway 2 Submissions
- Assist senior staff in preparing Building Safety Act submission packages.
- Collate and organise:
- Door elevation drawings
- Door schedules & quotations
- Product data sheets
- Fire test reports
- Extended application reports (EXAPs)
- Third-party certification documents
- Installation guidance and technical evidence
- Upload approved documents to customer portals following training.
- Maintain auditable records of all submissions and approvals.
- Maintain records, track submission status, and approvals
- Manage portal communications
Technical Documentation Control
· Maintain electronic filing systems and document registers.
· Archive superseded documents in accordance with company procedures.
· Respond to document requests from colleagues and customers.
· Provide general administrative support to the estimating and technical teams.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
· Administration skills or previous office experience preferred but not essential.
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
· Proficient Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
