Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and setup of the cooking line before service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper food handling procedures
- Support the team during busy periods, including meal preparation and plating
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant or catering environment
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- Experience with meal preparation in a fast-paced setting preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and serving procedures beneficial
- Previous experience working as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment is desirable
