Leatherhead Trinity School & Nursery is seeking an ambitious, forward thinking School Business Manager to join the Senior Leadership Team at an exciting point in the school’s development.
This is a strategic leadership role, suitable for an experienced SBM who is keen to play a central role in:
- shaping the school’s long term sustainability,
- strengthening its profile within the local community,
- and developing creative income streams that support excellent education.
The Role
As School Business Manager, you will:
- Lead the strategic and operational management of the school’s finances, premises, HR, ICT, and compliance functions
- Be a full member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole school planning and decision making
- Work closely with the Headteacher and Governors to ensure strong governance, risk management, and value for money
In addition, this role places a particular emphasis on growth and sustainability:
Marketing, Community & Income Generation
We are particularly interested in candidates who can:
- Lead or contribute to the school’s marketing, branding and digital presence, including website content and social media
- Develop and promote income generating activities, such as lettings, nursery growth, grants, partnerships and community use
- Identify opportunities to strengthen the school’s local profile, supporting pupil recruitment and parental engagement
- Take a proactive, entrepreneurial approach to ensuring the long term financial resilience of the school

What we are looking for
- A highly organised, strategic thinker with strong financial and analytical skills
- Significant experience in school business management or a comparable senior operational role
- Confidence advising senior leaders and governors
- A collaborative leader able to inspire and manage teams
- A forward looking mindset, with an interest in innovation, marketing and income development
- A commitment to safeguarding and public sector ethics
A relevant SBM / leadership qualification (CSBM, DSBM, ILM, CIPD) is desirable.
