We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations within our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for early childhood education and working with children. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for leading a team of childcare professionals, fostering professional development, and building positive relationships with parents
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the nursery team, providing guidance, support, and supervision to ensure high standards of care and education.
- Develop and implement programmes that promote the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development of children.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education standards.
- Oversee daily operations including enrolment procedures, staff scheduling, and resource management.
- Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Organise staff training sessions to promote ongoing professional development within the team.
- Maintain accurate records related to children's development, attendance, and staff performance.
- Manage budgets and procurement of educational materials and supplies.
- Foster an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes equality among children and staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in nursery management or a similar role within early childhood education settings.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent management skills.
- Working knowledge of childcare regulations, safeguarding policies, and health & safety standards.
- Experience working with children across various age groups; child development knowledge is essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative independently.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting resources or attending external meetings or events.
- Passionate about early childhood education with a caring approach towards children’s wellbeing and development.

Pay: Up to £47,000.00 per year
