Site‑Based Prep Hand – High‑End Architectural Staircases (Central London, CSCS Required)
We are looking for an experienced Site‑Based Prep Hand to join our team working on high‑end architectural staircases across Central London. This role is fully site‑based and requires precision, professionalism, and confidence working within active construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing staircase components on site: sanding, filling, shaping and priming
- Ensuring all surfaces are finish‑ready for paint, lacquer or specialist coatings
- Working safely around other trades and adapting to fast‑moving site conditions
- Identifying imperfections and correcting them to a high standard
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
Requirements
- Proven experience in architectural metalwork, joinery or finishing trades
- Valid CSCS card – essential for site access
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and meet programme deadlines
- Professional attitude and reliable site presence
- Experience using HVLP spray systems preferred but not essential
- Car body shop experience a bonus, especially with fine prep and finishing work
