Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary staff, and ensuring a smooth operation. Duties
- Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen
- Supporting the organisation of stock and supplies to facilitate efficient kitchen operations
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining a tidy workspace throughout shifts to promote safety and efficiency
- Supporting serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables or replenishing supplies as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or culinary practices is desirable
- Experience working in hospitality or serving roles can be beneficial for understanding customer service standards
- No formal qualifications are required; however, a keen interest in food service and teamwork is essential
- Candidates should demonstrate good organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude toward learning new skills
