Lab Technician, Bridge of Allan
Pay : £12.89 per hour
Bonus: £100 attendance bonus

An opportunity has arisen for a Lab Technician to join our existing team based at our site in Bridge of Allan, Stirling. This is a full time, permanent position, working 40 hours per week, 5 days out 7. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out testing of raw materials through to finished product.
Key responsibilities include:
- Calibration of lab equipment
- Media Preparation
- Carry out raw milk testing, process testing, final product testing (chemical/physical/microbiological) and recording of results
- Carry out hygiene swabs
- Advise Lab team leader when consumables and solutions are needing replenished
- Ensure that formal documented systems are maintained and developed as appropriate to the overall requirements of the business.
- Ensure lab department is clean, hygienic and tidy at all times
- Comply with Health and Safety requirements and adhere to HR policies and procedures
· Assist the Lab team leader as and when required and carry out any other reasonable duties to ensure the effective and smooth running of the site
The successful candidate should ideally have experience of handling food in a fast paced environment and a basic food hygiene certificate. This role is subject to a monthly attendance bonus.
