Job Vacancy - HGV Driver
We are looking to recruit a Heavy Goods Driver (Class1/2) to join our workshop team in Exeter. This role will involve various driving duties such as;
- Collection & Delivery of customers vehicles for routine maintenance or repairs
- Road Testing of vehicles post-repair & Quality Control
- Presentation of vehicles for MOT Tests at our ATF Facility
- Collection/Delivery of new commercial vehicles with Sales Department
- Recovery of broken down vehicles (Training to be provided for suitable candidates).
- Organisation of vehicles being dropped off for repair & those being collected.
- General workshop duties, ferrying, collection of parts etc when necessary.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV driving License. Class 2 Minimum, Class 1 Preferred (CE)
- Familiarity with flatbed transportation
- Excellent navigation and route planning abilities
- Ability to adhere to safety regulations and protocols
- Strong communication skills for customer interactions
The role would be well suited to a former Technician or someone looking for a more varied driving experience.
Working Hours as follows;
- 40 Hour Working Week
- Monday to Friday - Variable Start/Finish between 7am-6pm, 8 hours per day.
- Overtime Available for early start or late finish
- Monday to Friday. Saturday AM Optional & work dependant
Weekly Pay, All overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate.
Hourly Rate Offered dependant on suitability & other skills as highlighted above.
