Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing exceptional hospitality and support during events. This position requires a passion for food and guest services, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items for catering events, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Point of sale and cash handling
- Serve food and beverages to guests with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including proper storage of food items and equipment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any guest needs or concerns promptly.
- Support event coordinators in executing various functions, from small gatherings to large banquets.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or catering is preferred, with a strong understanding of food safety practices how ever training can be provided.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and serving methods is advantageous.
- Driving licence a plus with incentives
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, or canteen ettings will be considered a plus.
- A passion for guest services and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential qualities for success in this role.
