The Shotblast Operator position is to provide secondary support to the production team and the machine shop to ensure that all parts are inspected and shotblast to a high standard before going to the customer.
To work as part of a two man shift team, to receive the parts from production, follow quality visual inspection to a high standard, shotblast products as per work instructions, and pack in accordance to packaging requirements of the customer.
- To inspect all goods produced for any defects as per quality department work instructions.
- In a timely manner highlight any high levels of scrap
- To ensure housekeeping of cell is kept up to date, the working area is organised, clean and free from H&S hazards
- To set speed of conveyor for each part produced to relevant setting
- To follow packing instructions as highlighted by the Quality department
- To ensure that daily work sheets are correct and kept up to date
- Have the ability to use initiative
- Have good attention to detail
- Have ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
- 12 hour shifts
- Full training will be given
- Shift premium paid at 11% on day shift and 17% on night shift
