Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and preparing sauces.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Skills
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to maintain a hygienic working environment.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and portioning ingredients accurately.
- Experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
