Our leading flagship brand is our iconic Giant Bars – enjoyed by millions of snackers over the years. Alongside developing Giant Bars extensive global distribution, we have launched two new challenger brands in our portfolio: Sugar'd Out and Artisan & Co. As we continue our rapid commercial growth, we're looking for a freelance graphic designer to become an extension of our team and help bring exciting new ideas to life.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role for a designer who enjoys working across branding, packaging and marketing.
One day you could be working on brand designs for a new product launch, the next you might be art working packaging for print, creating social content or designing materials for a major trade exhibition.
We're looking for someone who combines creativity with precision and takes pride in producing work that looks great and is technically accurate. Bristol-based and open to meeting at both our Clifton and Yate offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Create packaging design concepts for new product launches and brand development projects
- Produce packaging artwork and prepare files for print production
- Design engaging social media content across multiple brands
- Create trade advertisements, sales and on-shelf materials
- Develop B2B marketing materials for retailers, distributors and commercial partners
- Support wider brand development projects including visual identities, brand assets and guidelines
- Managing packaging amends following retailer or regulatory feedback
- Updating ingredient lists, nutrition tables and legal copy
- Artworking multilingual packs
- Liaising directly with printers and packaging suppliers
- Creating trade show stands, banners and exhibition graphics
- Producing wholesale brochures and product catalogues
- Designing promotional leaflets and trade communications
- Create point of sale materials, presentations and promotional collateral
- Work closely with the commercial and marketing team to develop creative solutions from brief through to execution
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards and meeting deadlines
- Designing paid social advertising assets
- Producing email marketing graphics
- Developing Amazon A+ content and marketplace assets
- Editing and retouching product imagery
- Creating lifestyle imagery using AI and traditional methods
Skills & Experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating packaging design, branding and marketing work
- Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop.
- Excellent familiarity with AI tools for image generation
- Experience preparing artwork for print
- Strong understanding of typography, layout and visual communication
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience working with FMCG, food and drink, retail or consumer brands is preferred
