Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring the smooth operation of the café. Previous experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Serve customers efficiently with a friendly attitude, taking orders accurately and processing payments using the POS system.
- Manage stock levels, restock supplies, and assist with cleaning duties to uphold cleanliness standards throughout the café.
- Organise workspace to ensure smooth service during busy periods and support team members as needed.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to create a safe environment for staff and customers.
Skills
- Proven food safety knowledge and adherence to hygiene standards.
- Previous barista experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role.
- Strong serving skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
- Basic food preparation skills for assembling drinks and light snacks efficiently.
- Good basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
