Join Our Security Team
University of Staffordshire is seeking dedicated, community-minded and proactive Campus Security Officers to join our Security Team on a full-time night shift rota.
In September 2026, we will open our brand-new Student Village – a modern, high-quality accommodation development located alongside our Stoke campus. This exciting new addition will provide students with a safe, supportive and welcoming place to live, and you could play a key role in shaping that experience from day one.
This is much more than a traditional security role. You'll be part of a team that helps create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. The role is varied, active and physically demanding, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions and providing excellent customer service.
About the Role
As a Campus Security Officer, you will:

Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring students, colleagues and visitors feel welcomed, respected and supported

Help maintain a safe and secure environment across the campus and Student Village

Respond professionally and effectively to first aid incidents, fire alarms and emergency situations

Monitor and operate security systems, including CCTV, access control systems and incident reporting platforms

Support a range of university events throughout the year

Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Working Pattern

Night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rotating pattern

Typical shifts are between 10 and 12 hours
