Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Working Foreman/woman to lead and supervise construction or maintenance teams on-site. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, hands-on supervisory experience, and expertise in project planning tools. As a key leader on the project site, you will coordinate daily operations, manage workforce activities, and ensure compliance with safety regulations, all while maintaining momentum towards project milestones.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise construction or maintenance crews, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
- Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines
- Utilize project management software to plan, update, and track project timelines and resource allocation
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections to uphold health and safety standards
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve on-site issues promptly
- Supervise the use of equipment and materials, ensuring proper handling and storage
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, incidents, and site activities for reporting purposes
Requirements
- Proven management experience in construction or maintenance environments with a strong supervisory background
- Demonstrated experience supervising teams on large-scale projects
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and reporting
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and safety regulations
- Physical capability to perform site inspections and oversee field activities effectively
