As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced childcare professional to join our leadership team as an After School Care Depute Manager.

About the Role
Working in partnership with the After School Care Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership of one of our Out of School Care services.
You will support the delivery of outstanding childcare by leading through example, mentoring colleagues, maintaining high standards of practice and ensuring every child experiences a safe, inclusive and engaging environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will balance direct work with children alongside operational responsibilities, staff support and quality improvement.
Your Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Support and motivate a team of childcare professionals to deliver high-quality, child-led experiences.
- Coach, mentor and develop colleagues to build confidence and professional practice.
- Promote a positive, collaborative culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
- Deputise for the Manager when required.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure the service operates in line with Care Inspectorate requirements, SSSC standards and MACS policies.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management.
- Support quality assurance, self-evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Children & Families
- Build positive relationships with children, families and partner agencies.
- Champion children's rights, wellbeing and inclusion.
- Help create an environment where every child can develop confidence, independence and meaningful friendships.
Operational Support
- Assist with planning, administration and record keeping.
- Support rota management, staffing arrangements and daily service operations.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of innovative and engaging programmes for children.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who combines professional knowledge with strong leadership skills and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional childcare.
You'll ideally have:
- A minimum SCQF Level 7 qualification in Childhood Practice (or be working towards it).
- At least two years' experience within childcare.
- A minimum of one year's experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding, children's rights and current childcare legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using digital systems and supporting service improvement.
- Eligibility for SSSC registration and PVG Scheme membership.

Operational Hours:
- Breakfast Club: 7:45am – 9:00am
- After School Care: 2:45pm – 6:00pm
No weekends
