We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Manager for a reputable Nursing Home dedicated to providing exceptional senior care. Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily operations of the nursing home, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and quality standards
- Support and supervise nursing staff, caregivers, and administrative personnel to deliver outstanding patient care
- Coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, disabilities, or requiring hospice or senior care services
- Manage medication administration processes accurately and safely, adhering to prescribed protocols
- Facilitate case management activities to optimize individual resident outcomes and coordinate with external healthcare providers when necessary
- Ensure staff are trained in specialized care areas such as ICU procedures, laboratory procedures, medical imaging, and anatomy knowledge
- Promote a safe environment by supervising infection control practices, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures
- Support family communication and provide updates on resident health status and care plans
- Assist in implementing programs for assisted living, home care services, toddler and child care as needed to support diverse resident needs
Experience
- Proven experience working in nursing homes or senior care facilities with a strong background in assisted living environments
- Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within healthcare settings
- Hands-on experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice services, and managing residents with disabilities
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care procedures
- Familiarity with ICU practices, laboratory work, medical imaging techniques, and anatomy fundamentals
- Experience working with children or toddlers is a plus for facilities offering family-inclusive programs
- Strong case management skills to coordinate multidisciplinary healthcare efforts effectively
- Previous supervising experience in healthcare settings is highly desirable
