THE ROLE
We are looking for someone to fill the role of CNC Room Team leader.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of programmers/operatives and setting and operating CNC routers and laser-cutters in a busy area within our Acrylic Department.
We work to strict deadlines and produce parts to a very high degree of accuracy.
CNC Room Team leader responsibilities:
- Scheduling workload / machining capacity
- Coordinating staff
- Checking that parts produced adhere to correct specifications
- Monitoring productivity
- Identifying improvements and making necessary adjustments
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Using CAD/CAM software to set programs and create toolpaths
CNC Room Team leader requirements:
- Responsible and able to comply with all safety guidelines
- CNC machines / laser-cutting expertise
- Management experience
- Leadership / communication skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Quality control experience
- Experience using EnRoute and LightBurn would be an advantage
Hours of work:
The contract is a 40 hour week compressed over 4 days, Monday to Thursday, 1pm to 11.30pm.
