Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Transport Planner to join our logistics team. Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate efficient transportation routes that meet delivery deadlines and optimize resource utilization
- Manage daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups, ensuring adherence to customer requirements and company standards
- Monitor vehicle movements and driver performance using IT systems and GPS tracking tools
- Collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve logistical issues promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delivery schedules, and transportation costs using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Oversee compliance with safety regulations and driving laws across all transportation activities
- Lead a team of drivers and logistics staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a high-performance environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in management within logistics or supply chain environments
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial vehicle operation preferred
- Strong knowledge of logistics planning, supply chain processes, and transportation management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and IT systems related to transportation planning
- Excellent communication skills in English for effective coordination with team members and external partners
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure
- Computer literacy with familiarity in managing data entry, reporting, and route optimization software
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
