Job Description: Traffic Management Operative
The Role

You will be the frontline of safety, ensuring our fibre installation and utility projects run smoothly while protecting both our site teams and the public. Key Responsibilities
- Setup & Dismantle: Deploy, maintain, and remove traffic management equipment, including temporary traffic lights, cones, signs, and pedestrian barriers.
- Site Supervision: Monitor traffic flow and pedestrian safety around active excavations and fibre cabling works.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to Sector Scheme 12D and Chapter 8 regulations to ensure every site meets legal and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our field teams and back-office staff to report site progress and equipment needs.
- Emergency Response: Quickly adapt to changing road conditions or incidents to maintain a safe working zone.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications: LANTRA 12D or M1/M2/M5 certifications are highly desirable.
- Reliability: Punctuality is essential, as you are responsible for securing the site before work begins.
- Communication: A professional communicator who can manage interactions with the public and local authorities.
- Resilience: Comfortable working in all weather conditions and physically capable of handling equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £185.00 per day
