GLOBE Manufacturing Ltd established over 70 years ago in the Brentwood area is an engineering and manufacturing company. The company exports around 70% of its products within Europe, with specialist raw materials being sourced from the USA and Asia.

The company is currently looking for a cylindrical grinder. A big part of our business is producing tools that are being used in the canning industry all over the world. These products require a very fine tolerance. Because our business is expanding, we require a grinder for future night shifts to be added to our team dedicated to this side of the business. You will be working together with 40-50 colleagues in a growing and evolving company.
The Role:
- Operate CNC/Manual grinding machines.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Use measuring equipment
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
- Adhere to the company’s health and safety standards
- Possibility to become a CNC setter/Programmer
Requirements:
- Hands on experience in an engineering environment.
- Confident with different measuring equipment
- Good communication skills, in English
- Be able to work as part of a team
- Most importantly a can-do attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous CNC machinist or grinding experience is a plus
- Strong basic mathematical skills
- Right to work in the UK

Additional Information:

- Day time Hours 7am – 5.30pm Monday/Tuesday and 7am-5pm Wednesday/Thursday
- Night shift hours 05:00pm - 01:30am Monday to Friday
