Job Summary
IPS is a leading provider of technical equipment and solutions to the live events industry. We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Yard and Staging Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of our Yard and Staging department.
Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient dispatch, return and storage of rental equipment while maintaining exceptional operational standards. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and Hub Manager, you'll lead a dedicated team, drive continuous improvement and ensure all equipment is delivered safely, accurately and on time.

Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the Yard and Staging department.
- Manage and motivate the Yard and Staging team to achieve high performance.
- Ensure rental equipment is dispatched accurately, on time and to the highest standard.
- Oversee the return, inspection and processing of equipment, reporting any missing or damaged items in line with company procedures.
- Coordinate vehicle movements and equipment distribution across the yard in collaboration with the Warehouse and Transport Managers.
- Maintain excellent stock control and inventory accuracy using rental management systems.
- Ensure the yard remains clean, organised and operates safely at all times.
- Allocate daily workloads and monitor team productivity to meet operational deadlines.
- Work closely with Project Managers and operational departments to support successful project delivery.
- Support recruitment, training and development of team members.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
Skills
- Previous experience managing a warehouse, yard or staging operation, ideally within the live events, production or equipment rental industry.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using inventory or rental management systems.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations, logistics and stock control.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Forklift licence, First Aid qualification or similar operational certifications would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced operational environment.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
