We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Technician to join our dental practice. We are expanding and want to get the right technician to help us design this space for them to work. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, repairing, and modifying dental appliances, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and patient satisfaction. The role requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with dentists and other team members. We are looking for a technician who can confidently navigate 3D printing, digital intraoral scanning setups, and milling machines for routine dentistry as well as implant cases. Key Responsibilities
- We will be manufacturing: all vacuum/pressure forming appliances, - all posterior restorations, will consider anteriors depending on the case, implant restorations, all on x cases - immediate loading arches that are printed, no metal work will be done in house.
- Use laboratory equipment and technology to design and fabricate dental restorations.
- Repair, adjust, and maintain dental appliances as required.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, clinical requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory cases and materials used.
- Manage laboratory inventory and order supplies when necessary.
- Follow infection control, health and safety, and laboratory protocols.
- Collaborate with dentists to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Keep up to date with advances in dental materials, techniques, and technologies.
Requirements
Essential
- Recognised qualification in Dental Technology.
- Current registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Experience working in a dental laboratory or dental practice laboratory environment.
- Knowledge of dental materials, prosthetics, and laboratory procedures.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable
- Experience with digital dentistry, 3Shape software.
- Experience in crown and bridge work, prosthetics, orthodontics, or implant restorations.
- Knowledge of 3D printing workflows and digital scanning technologies.
Working Hours
- Full-time / Part-time (to be agreed).
- Monday to Friday.
- Occasional overtime may be required to meet laboratory deadlines.
