Role: Loading Shovel - Plant Operative
Salary: £20-£25 Per Hour Dependant on experience
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile Plant Operator to join our team at Bridgwater, working 50 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with a chance of overtime.
Reporting to the site’s Team Leader, you will assist in the safe and efficient day-to-day operations of the site, aiding the correct receipt and handling of waste, which will involve segregating and loading waste on site as required. When operating mobile plant, you will also be responsible for maintaining the plant to a high standard and reporting any issues or defects.
Our ideal Mobile Plant Operative will have:
- Knowledge and experience of driving all heavy plant and machinery used on site.
- Working knowledge of all mandatory and safety critical training relevant to the waste industry.
- Able to effectively direct incoming waste deliveries without supervision
- Customer service skills – ability and willingness to assist site users.
- Full driving licence
Duties will include:
- Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently within a waste/recycling site
- Loading and moving materials such as waste, recyclables, and aggregates
- Feeding sorting lines, crushers, and processing equipment
- Stockpiling and organising materials
- Carrying out daily checks and basic maintenance of machinery
- Supporting general site operations as required
- Following all site health & safety procedures at all times
