The Role
As a Chef at The Raven, you’ll play a key role in delivering our menu to a high standard every day. You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to prepare dishes efficiently, maintain excellent food safety standards and support smooth service during busy shifts. This role suits someone who loves pub food done well, thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in their craft.
Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen preparation: Prepare ingredients, cook menu items to spec and maintain consistency across all dishes
- Service delivery: Support smooth service during peak times, communicating clearly with FOH and BOH teams
- Food safety compliance: Follow all hygiene, allergen and safety procedures; maintain a clean, organised kitchen
- Stock management: Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and minimising waste
- Menu execution: Ensure dishes are presented to a high standard and reflect The Raven’s quality
- Team collaboration: Work closely with the Head Chef and wider team to maintain a positive, supportive kitchen culture
About You

Pay: £13.00-£14.70 per hour
