Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and maintain high standards of cleanliness across various premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are hygienic, tidy, and presentable, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy creating clean, organised spaces.
Working times are between school hours, however you must be able to work throughout the kids holidays.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial and domestic spaces, including offices, washrooms, and communal areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards
- Disinfect high-touch areas to promote hygiene and safety
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
- Remove rubbish and ensure waste disposal is carried out efficiently
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and report any repairs needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents or hazards
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks when required, such as carpet or window cleaning
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Reliable with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Good physical stamina to perform manual cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures is desirable
