ASSISTANT GOLF PROFESSIONAL
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Providing unparalleled service to members and guests.
- Meeting the public, scheduling tee times and answering questions regarding the use of golf facilities.
- Providing, coordinating and instructing golf lessons to the general public.
- Scheduling golf cart usage and determining the need to replace or repair golf carts.
- Supervising staff engaged in collection of fees, supervising golf cart operations, managing driving ranges, managing retail inventory and coordinating golf tournaments.
- Ensuring completion of daily reports of all transactions and ensuring funds collected are deposited daily.
- Demonstrating continuous efforts to improve operations, decreasing turnaround times, streamlining work processes, and working cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with Bachelors’ Degree in Recreation Administration, Business Administration, Physical Education or other related field.
- Must be a PGA member or associate in good standing with the PGA of America.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working under a PGA Head Professional.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in teaching golf lessons.
- Extensive knowledge in Recreational Management and maintenance.
- Knowledge of sports merchandising, sales psychology, sports fashion trends and golf equipment trends.
- Knowledge of Golf rules, handicap, course rating system, and mechanics of golf, equipment and tournament organization and software.
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and internal controls.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs; stand, walk for an extended period of time.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule outside of normal business hours i.e. evenings, weekends and public holidays, as needed.
- Be able to work inside and outside under various weather conditions.
- A satisfactory police record and fluency in English is required.
SALARY RANGE: US$40,000-US$60,000 per annum
LOCATION: North Sound Golf Club, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands
BENEFITS: In accordance with CI Labour Act
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time position up to 45 hours per week
