Aston University is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Officer to join the team on a fixed-term basis, at an exciting time for the university.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will support and enhance the delivery of internal communications for a community of more than 3,000 staff and 17,000 students, creating clear, effective communications, campaigns and projects, with a particular focus on the One Aston intranet and student portal.
Working closely with the Student and Internal Communications Managers, you will use CRM and CMS systems such as Dynamics 365, Mailchimp and Sharepoint to develop content for a range of digital channels including emails, newsletters and intranet pages. You will play an important role in delivering communications that support strategic goals, change management and engagement. You will also support crisis or urgent communications when required.
We are looking for someone with proven experience in managing communications across multiple digital channels with a number of stakeholders, and a talent for creating and editing content for diverse audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and a collaborative approach to working across departments are all essential for success in this role. Experience of working in higher education would be advantageous too.
