Job Summary
Prospero Teaching is recruiting enthusiastic and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistants to support children during the crucial Early Years stage. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and early years professionals to create a safe, engaging and stimulating environment where young children can learn and develop.
This is an excellent opportunity for Teaching Assistants who enjoy working with younger children and want to make a positive impact on their early education.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Assisting with learning activities, play-based learning and classroom routines
- Supporting children's communication, language, physical and social development
- Helping to create a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment
- Providing additional support to children who may need extra help with their development
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team
- Encouraging children's confidence, independence and positive behaviour
- Supporting personal care and daily routines where required
What we're looking for:
- Experience working with children, ideally within an EYFS, nursery or primary setting
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's development
- Relevant childcare or education qualifications are desirable but not always essential
