We’re looking for an enthusiastic Hospitality & Catering Teacher to inspire the next generation of chefs, hospitality managers, and customer service professionals. Based in beautiful North Devon, you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team delivering high-quality, engaging programmes that prepare learners for further study and employment in the vibrant hospitality sector.
What you’ll be doing
No two days are the same! Your role will include:

Designing and delivering engaging, up-to-date lessons in Hospitality & Catering, both in the classroom and online

Creating inspiring schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with college standards

Assessing learner progress, giving timely feedback, and maintaining accurate records

Acting as an Academic Progress Tutor, supporting attendance, achievement, progression and wellbeing

Embedding English, Maths, ICT, British Values and Employability into your teaching

Supporting enrichment activities, learner visits, and progression opportunities

Contributing to quality assurance, CPD, and continuous improvement across the department
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from candidates who bring energy, professionalism, and a learner-first mindset. You’ll ideally have:

A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area

A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

Experience of teaching or training in vocational or qualification-based programmes

Strong skills in lesson planning, assessment, and using digital learning tools

The ability to motivate, challenge and support learners of varying abilities
