VANRATH is working with a well established car and commercial vehicle dealership on the appointment of an Aftersales Manager. This is a senior appointment with full ownership of the aftersales operation across both the car and commercial side, covering service, parts and the customer experience that goes with them.
You will lead the aftersales team, drive department performance and profitability, and keep customer satisfaction and manufacturer standards high across the board. It will suit an experienced aftersales professional ready to take full control of a busy, dual franchise operation.

The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Take full ownership of the aftersales operation across service and parts, for both cars and commercial vehicles
- Lead, motivate and develop the aftersales team, including service, parts and workshop staff
- Drive department profitability, hitting revenue, margin and performance targets
- Keep customer satisfaction high and resolve escalated issues professionally
- Hold manufacturer, compliance and health and safety standards across the department
- Manage workshop loading, efficiency and productivity
- Monitor department KPIs and put action plans in place where needed
- Control department costs, stock and overall financial performance
- Build strong relationships with customers, manufacturers and suppliers
- Work with the wider management team on the commercial direction of the dealership
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven aftersales management experience within a franchised dealership
- Background across both service and parts, ideally with car and commercial vehicle exposure
- Strong commercial understanding of aftersales profitability and performance
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Confident dealing with customers, manufacturers and suppliers
- Track record of hitting department targets and improving customer satisfaction
- Knowledge of dealer management systems and FCA compliant processes
- Full driving licence
