Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of motor vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet running smoothly, providing reliable service to our customers. Ideal but not essential towbar fitting Knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repair solutions efficiently
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations
- Repair or replace faulty parts, ensuring all work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist with assembly of vehicle parts or equipment as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vehicle
- installation of fixed and detachable towbars, with 7 or 13 pin electrics.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for various repair tasks
- Experience in vehicle assembly, maintenance, and equipment repair processes
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for heavy lifting and repairs
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to vehicle repair environments and the use of maintenance tools
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- A good understanding of electrical systems would be an advantage.

Pay: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
