MK Loft Boarding is a growing specialist loft boarding company serving homeowners across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. We provide high-quality raised loft boarding, loft storage solutions and associated loft improvements, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Lead Loft Boarding Installer to join our team and take responsibility for leading installations from start to finish.
The Role
As Lead Installer, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality loft boarding installations in customers' homes, while leading and supporting other members of the installation team.
The role will involve:
- Installing raised loft boarding systems to a high standard
- Measuring and preparing loft spaces accurately
- Installing raised loft support systems and flooring
- Installing loft ladders, hatches and other loft storage products where required
- Working safely in loft spaces and following company procedures
- Leading and supervising installation teams on site
- Ensuring every installation meets MK Loft Boarding's quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and professional working environment
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Identifying and resolving installation issues on site
- Completing jobs efficiently and within agreed timescales
- Looking after company tools, equipment and vehicles
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in loft boarding, carpentry, roofing, joinery or a similar trade
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Practical, hands-on and able to solve problems
- Comfortable working in loft spaces and at height
- Physically fit and able to carry materials and equipment
- Reliable, punctual and well presented
- Customer-focused and professional
- Able to lead a small team and take responsibility for the quality of the work
- Able to work to a high standard without cutting corners
- A full UK driving licence holder
Previous loft boarding experience is highly desirable, although candidates with strong carpentry, roofing, joinery or general building experience will also be considered.
