OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POST _____________________________________________________________________
Our Community Café is at the Heart of Rotunda and from here we run important projects, events, and clubs, which are vital in supporting our local community. We are looking for people to prepare, cook and serve food to the community. We are a funded charity that provides nutritious food at affordable prices. We are open Monday to Friday from 8 am and close at 3 pm. Cashing up and cleaning that takes about an hour. This role will require you to work towards your Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 certificate and your Food Allergy Level 2 certificate.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES _____________________________________________________________________
- Working with the cook to produce cost effective food menus with minimal waste
- Supporting the organisation of clubs and events for the benefit of our community
- Ensuring cleanliness & hygiene are adhered to in accordance with centre policy
- Adherence to community health & safety policy including kitchen and cafe safety rules
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and able to work within the Rotunda Values. You will be self-motivated, use your own initiative to ensure that our customers and volunteers enjoy a bespoke positive experience. You must be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
