The Role – Office Administrator
We are looking for a trustworthy and reliable individual, with a driving licence, to join our business as an Office Administrator.
This is a reasonably new role due to an enhanced workload and a new system of working, so there will be some scope for you to help shape the responsibilities of the role going forward.
Your main responsibilities are likely to include the following:
- Day-to-day office operations
- First point of call answering phones and email enquiries
- Managing timesheets and overtime
- Monitoring defect and near-miss reporting
- Assisting with HGV record keeping
- Consolidating and submitting waste and materials data
- Assisting in the preparation of payroll
- Assisting with populating work packs
- Purchasing and maintaining office supplies
- Ensuring the office is kept tidy
- Liaising with site foremen
- Supporting managers as required
- Making payments and requesting copy invoices as required
- Collecting/delivering small items on occasion (we will provide a vehicle for this)
- Monitoring expiry dates for various things (training, MOTs etc)
- Organising training courses
- Organising and attending meetings as required
- Posting on our social media accounts occasionally
This is a permanent, part-time position, working between 15 and 25 hours per week Monday to Friday. We envisage that the hours would be somewhere between 8am and 2pm. However, we are open to offering some flexibility in the working hours, so please apply regardless and we can discuss the hours and timings at the interview stage. This role could potentially suit someone that has to do the school run.
Overview
Competitive rates of pay based on skills, experience and certifications. We are happy to pay on either a weekly or monthly basis, whichever is preferred.
A P Transport is an experienced, council approved highways contractor providing a vast array of services encompassing groundworks, surfacing, tipper and plant hire. Operating throughout Gloucestershire and into Wiltshire, we are looking to expand our team in order to take on new work and to expand our capabilities.
Location
You will be based in our head office, which is located on the outskirts of Cirencester. You will need your own transport, but there is free parking on site.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will be hard working, reliable, punctual and polite. The following skills are strongly desirable:
- Motivated self-starter
- Proficient in the use of a computer, including the full suite of Microsoft applications
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills
- Good communication skills and phone manner
- Previous experience in a similar role
