Care Assistant £12.45 per hour - £13.20 per hour depending on experience.
Extra pay for weekends.
Full and part time hours available (12 hour shifts)
Our family owned Residential Care home is looking for an experienced and compassionate, reliable Care Assistant, day or night who is aware of the importance of meeting the residents needs, offering person centred care whilst helping them maintain a good quality of life. We are looking for a committed individual who has excellent communication skills and is willing to work on their own or as part of a team. Our care staff are dedicated, hard working and cheerful and we are looking for someone who would be an excellent fit within our team.
You don’t need any qualifications or previous work experience, just a natural warmth and wish to make a difference to someone who needs you. Whatever your background, with our training and support we can build on all your skills.

Some duties will include:
- Being a caring and friendly companion to help our residents feel that Hunters Lodge is their home.
- Empowering and supporting our residents to make their own choices.
- Helping residents with their daily activities like washing, dressing, eating.

About the care Role at Hunters Lodge:
- Full and part time carers, on a rota basis.
- Supporting older residents, people with dementia and or mental health
- Flexible weekend work
- Additional paid hours available to cover holidays etc
- Usual shift times are 7pm-7am. 7am- 7pm, 7-2pm or 2-7pm
Qualifications and Skills (Preferred but not required)
- Drivers License and Car
- Care Certificate or NVQ level 2 recommended but not essential
- Experience of working with the elderly
- Good Communication skills
- Ability to work on their own or as part of a team
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience in the care of older people, Mental Health and preferably in a dementia care environment.
